This past weekend I had the super fun opportunity to teach a grade at The Pinners Briefing & Expo in SLC. I was so excited to have a full class and nosotros had a blast making healthy four ingredient recipes (sentinel for my new eCookbook coming before long!), doing goofy things to win prizes, and tasting some yummy food. I even had my sweet girl Brooklyn as my "sous chef", which made it extra special.

Even though it wasn't exactly related to healthy recipes, I couldn't resist the opportunity to share a few of the good for you tips that mean the most to me. They might non exist your typical health tips, just I think they are some of the most of import and I wanted to share them with you too.

Tip #1

Tip #1: Focus on Health & Not on Weight

I struggled with an eating disorder in my early 20's and I've been dealing with thyroid issues this year, and over and over over again I just go on being reminded that feeling great is Then much better than reaching a magic number on the scale. It's just not worth being miserable on a "diet," feeling hungry all the time, or completely eliminating foods but to look a sure manner. Focus on how you experience, brand healthy choices, and enjoy life. I promise it'south way better than killing yourself to attain an arbitrary goal weight.

Tip #2

Tip #2: Know that your value and beauty have nothing to practice with how yous look

You have and then much more to offer the world than just looking pretty. Your body is an astonishing gift, use it to feel and enjoy life and cease worrying so much about how you await       doing it. I hope you know how beautiful you are exactly as y'all are right at present.

Tip #3

Tip #three Stop Comparing Yourself to Others.

This 1 is hard for me, and I'm guessing it'south difficult for y'all too. One of my all-time tips for stoping comparison is taking a suspension from social media. Do a social media fast for ii-iii days and/or hibernate friends from you feed that you struggle with comparing yourself to (I promise they won't even know). Sometimes stepping back for a few days and focusing on all the wonderful things you lot take in your life is all you demand.

Tip #4

Tip #four Brand Yourself a Priority

This one seems to be specially hard for us equally moms. We make everyone else a priority and e'er seem to end upwards terminal on the list. Remember that you can be a better mom, wife, daughter, sister, or friend when you have fourth dimension for YOU. Put the oxygen mask on yourself start.

I hope these tips are a good reminder to you to focus on the right things and to accept care of yourself. Yous deserve to be happy and salubrious and I know you lot tin can get in that location.
